Julian Wright

A Pennsylvania native,Mr. Wright graduated from Arizona StateUniversity in 1995 with a B.A. in Broadcasting and summa cum laude honors. Mr. Wright’s first career move, post-graduation, was working for the quick service concept Z’TECA Mexican Grill (now Q’DOBA MexicanGrill) in Denver,Colorado, in 1995. Starting as an assistant manager, within 18 months Mr. Wright became the national Director of Franchise Operations as the company expanded into multiple states.


When the opportunity arose, Mr. Wright took a job as the V.P. of Operations for the Phoenix area developer in 1997. In 1999 Mr. Wright foundedFork & DaggerHospitality, a restaurant concept development and

management company. His first venture,Jax Thai Bar, opened its doors in August of 2000 on Mill Avenue in Tempe, Arizona. Thai restaurant by day and urban lounge by night, Jax Thai Bar achieved over $1,300,000 in revenue its first year and eventually sold two years later as trends were changing in the industry and other opportunities arose.


Over the last 14 years of being the President(and sole owner) of Fork & Dagger Hospitality, conceptualizing and operating multiple restaurants in multiple states, Mr. Wright has managed over 750 employees and has achieved sales of over $39,500,000.

Mr. Wright is a hands-on operator with creative vision, an ability to execute, who has great people skills and an overall passion for business.


Awards/Accolades have included the 2015 Business Impact Award, the Downtown Tempe Authority 2016 Restaurateur of the Year, and the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame.

Mr. Wright also devotes time to numerous charitable organizations as an Executive Board Member of the Downtown Tempe Authority, the National Director of Special Events for The Navy League of Arizona and as a Board Member for the Phoenix Youth Assistance Foundation, MCSO.
