Press Release

January 22, 2024

A new master-planned development is being proposed in Naco, Arizona. Set on 195 acres with stunning views of the Mule Mountains, this project is to include 647 camping and RV spaces. Other amenities proposed include a restaurant-bar & ballroom facilities, farm-to-table gardens, artist workspaces, walking paths, wedding pavilion, and an amphitheater to draw live music lovers from throughout Arizona.  The entertainment space will also host other entertainment including movies in the park, comedy, variety acts, theater, etc.

Upon full build out, Camp Riff is expected to be a $23M investment in the Naco community. This development is projected to generate significant property and sales tax revenue, which in turn supports schools and community infrastructure. Camp Riff is expected to create 60+ full and part-time jobs. Project amenities are meant to be an asset to the Naco community and enjoyed by its residents such as the playground, dog park, gardens, walking paths, etc.

Poster Mirto McDonald (PMM) is the lead architect on the Camp Riff project and has also been awarded the Camp Naco project by the City of Bisbee. We expect there will be a strong synergy between these two transformative projects in the Naco community.

Camp Riff is approximately 15 minutes from Bisbee and a free shuttle will be provided to guests.  “Our goal is for this project to have a very positive impact on Bisbee tourism, which in turn supports local business owners and their employees.” stated Joseph Lewis, developer of the project.

Naco residents and anyone else who might be interested in this project is welcome to attend and open house on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 1794 W. Newell St., Naco, AZ. The planned development will go in front of the Cochise County P&Z Commission on April 18, 2024. For more information, please visit
